Your first connection to the mains

The quality of the wall socket that feeds your system can have a positive effect on its performance. Even giving your existing socket a clean, and making sure the contacts are still tight, will bring benefits (always turn the electricity off before doing this). But improving the socket itself ensures an even better connection,

UltraSockets™ were originally designed for chassis mounting and you'll find them on our Award-winning X-Block™ mains extensions (this is why they are only available as a single outlet on a single or double faceplate).

We were so impressed with the performance that we custom-designed a faceplate (which is high impact and fire resistant for your peace of mind) enabling the new socket to be easily swapped for existing single or double wall sockets.

To improve performance, every UltraSocket™ is Deep Cryogenically Treated (DCT) and treated with DeoxIT® contact enhancer before shipping.

N.B. When ordering UltraSockets™, ensure you choose the correct version, depending on whether you are replacing an existing single or double outlet. If replacing the socket yourself, ensure that the mains is switched off at the consumer unit and if in doubt consult a qualified electrician.

Ground Terminal

For those who are not using an external Ground Rod to connect to their RF Router MKII or SuperRouter, the external earth terminal on the front of this socket allows an alternative connection to Ground, via the household mains earth. It also allows those who are using a Ground Rod to connect it to their ring main earth, via an RF Router, and thereby ground RF noise on the mains.

Yes, I recommend this product.
"Simple Allows The Music To Breathe"
I decided to move up from the double Super Socket with earth and am happily surprised with the results.  This Ultra Socket is clearly better.  I now plug my Ultra Purifier block in to the single Socket with earth.
I have noticed an improved sense of rhythm and timing, with the whole presentation being more organised, so I can hear more in to recordings and what the artist intended.
It may be the additional air and space around instruments, or the extra snap and impact that instruments have - or even the extra bass and mid depth and richness I now hear, but it all adds up to my enjoying my music more and an improved sense of fidelity / being there....
In the context of a high end system, this Socket really has added to the sum of the parts in surprisingly beneficial ways!

"Another Great Link In The Chain"
I fitted this as a dedicated socket just for the hi-fi, and as with all the other mains products that I've bought recently, it has lifted another veil - the music is that little bit more 'there' - it has more presence.
