5 out of 5
Introducing the WattGate 340 EVO Figure 8 plug. WattGate have spent the last few years designing there version of the C7 IEC (more commonly called the Fig.8 plug) improving every aspect of the connector to the same standard as their legendary IEC connectors. The W340 EVO is the standard version with phosphor bronze contactsFeaturing a number of new, innovative features the WattGate evolution range are a real step forward in plug performance.WattLock terminals incorporating WattLock ‘teeth’ improve contact pressure on the cable conductors for a lower resistance connection. The new terminals accept conductors of up to 8 AWG (3.26mm diameter). The high spring-rate contacts mean that the plugs grip securely onto your equipment socket. The new plugs will accept a cable with a total diameter of up to 19mm. The complete plug shell is of non-magnetic construction with a durable polycarbonate plug shell. Finally, all plugs are Deep Cryogenically Treated.

"Wattgate Evo W340 C7"
Why has it taken Wattgate so long to release this when so much equipment out there has a Fig-8 socket...I was using Furutech Fig-8 connectors before purchasing these, as options were limited out there.
But the Wattgate is simply better in every area, it's the tightest fitting one for a start, easy to fit, and the important thing to me is that it's so easy to strip down to its component parts and treat with DeOxit before buffing everything up and terminating the cable.
Images on screen have taken a step up in a few areas after fitting the Wattgate to feed the power supply to the tv over what was previously used, along with images from a Panasonic Blu Ray Recorder... Fantastic.
Customer Service Reply Hi Simon
Great to read the Wattgate Fig.8 has been such a success. The W340 was actually released over 8 years ago, but there were several years of design, testing for approvals prior to that as well.
