We’re constantly searching out ways to improve our products, and our popular SuperSocket™ wall socket is the latest to benefit. We’ve found a new type of double socket that outperforms the older MK version that we’ve been using - and the new sockets replace the older version at no extra cost.
The SuperSocket II™ features high spring-rate brass contacts that we treat with DeoxIT® – we’ve developed a special tool to apply the contact enhancer as they are separately shuttered and it’s not possible to access them without it. The new sockets are a straight swap for existing double sockets. Like the previous model, the SuperSocket II™ is also available without the earth terminal.
Ground Terminal
For those who are not using an external Ground Rod to connect to their RF Router MKII or SuperRouter, the external earth terminal on the front of this socket allows an alternative connection to Ground, via the household mains earth. It also allows those who are using a Ground Rod to connect it to their ring main earth, via an RF Router, and thereby ground RF noise on the mains.

All types of SuperSocket II™ are a straight swap for existing UK mains sockets. Before replacing sockets, ensure the mains electricity is turned off at your consumer unit. If in doubt, always consult a qualified electrician.
