ReVeel

CD and DVD cleaner and enhancer
ReVeel lets you experience the full performance from CDs, SACDs and DVDs that the recording engineer intended. We believe that ReVeel works by uniquely removing a film from discs, left as part of the manufacturing process.
Our Opinion
Your music will sound more detailed, 3-dimensional and with a deeper bass. With DVDs, you’ll also see better picture definition and colour saturation.
Russ on ReVeel's development
"Back in the 1990s, I found a product which was basically a solvent to remove Mould Release Agent (MRA). It worked to improve the sound of CDs in a way that I’d not heard with conventional alcohol-based CD cleaners. I found that alcohol-based CD wipes, whilst effective at cleaning fingerprints off CDs, simply moved the MRA around and didn’t remove it, and the new product was the most effective way of eradicating it and improving the sound quality. The Montreal Protocol outlawed the use of the solvent used in the cleaner, so I collaborated with an industrial chemist to research a ‘safe’ product to dissolve MRA. ReVeel was the result and is every bit as effective as the old product it replaced."
More about Mould Release Agent (MRA)
MRA is used in the manufacture of CDs and DVDs to enable them to made quickly. The plastic used in their construction is impregnated with silicone that migrates through to the surface of the CD during manufacture and allows it to be easily released from the mould when it has been pressed. The amount of MRA on a disc is variable – some have little, some have a lot on the surface. We believe that removing it with ReVeel allows a CD player’s laser to read the disc with less error correction.
With a CD or DVD player in a Hi-Fi system, there have been measurements that have proved a reduction in jitter (between 3 and 7% less), but the easiest way is to listen. Our experience of discs cleaned with ReVeel is that the sound is clearer and cleaner, less harsh, less sibilant, and more musical. It’s as if a lot of what is said of CD – hard-edged and aggressive – vanishes, making them more ‘vinyl like’. The same goes for DVD picture quality, too, with subjectively better colours and definition.
The importance of rinsing
It’s important to rinse ReVeel off the surface of treated discs: it’s as simple as flushing it under the tap after you’ve cleaned the disc (though we do have an ultrasonic cleaner which does the job cheaply and very effectively). I’ve found the simplest way to dry discs is to shake the excess water off and simply lay the playing side of a CD on a piece of kitchen towel to soak up any excess.

It's important to clean your discs effectively with ReVeel to completely remove contaminants. Follow our Cleaning guide and you'll have no problems!
1. Rub the playing side of the disc vigorously straight across with the wipe, creating a lather
2. Turn the disc through 90° and again rub the playing side of the disc straight across, vigorously
3. When you've finished you should be left with lather on the disc's surface
4. Wet your fingers under a running tap and flush off the lather. The disc should feel 'squeeky' clean to the touch
5. Lay the disc face down on a piece of kitchen paper to dry - the paper will absorb the moisture. Dab off any remaining drops from the label side of the disc.

"It Works."
I had mixed levels of improvements. I guess it depends on the level of residuals from the factory. CD's were good but my god with DVD's it was night and day for some reason. Bass levels became so vibrant it kinda shocked me to be honest. It works and for such as reasonable price to get audible gains, a no-brainer, highly recomended.

"Invaluable"
Excellent stuff, once I heard the results I simply refuse the listen to or watch any optical disc with using this first. Used in conjunction with anti-static and demagnetising products, ReVeel helps to provide more of the good and take away more of the bad, be it sound or picture quality. I must have cleaned over 5000 discs with this stuff and I’ll never stop using it!

"Great Product - And Service!"
This is the second time I've bought this product: the first time a few years ago. Just as good as before at revealing hidden nuances in my CD music. - Ordered yesterday afternoon and delivered this morning! Also very well packaged. 5 stars

"Reveel - What A Reveelation!"
I have found that Reveel really does live up to its name. CDs that have been cleaned using the Reveel wipes seem to magically take on a more authentic vinyl sound with a wider and deeper sound stage sounding more natural throughout the entire sonic range. Occasionally I have given certain CDs an additional clean after which the sound seems to have improved even more. This of course could be due to the fact that I didn't clean them thoroughly the first time.
