Process Q service

Process Q™ is the name we give to our proprietary cable process. Process Q uses a revolutionary processing technique on Kimber and Russ Andrews cables - it builds on the previous Super Burn-In we offered but brings significantly greater levels of improvement.

Unlike the previous process which had two levels (Super Burn-In™ and Super Burn-In Plus™ which were applied to power cables), Process Q only has one main level that can be applied to most power cables, interconnects and speaker cables, either at the time of manufacture or as a 'retro-process'.

In terms of performance, our listening tests show to us that Process Q far exceeds even the level of Super Burn-In Plus.



Process Q can be applied to most Russ Andrews mains cables, and Kimber interconnects and speaker cables. Additionally, several of our products feature a specially-adapted version of the treatment as standard – PowerBars, Signature Sockets and the Consumer Unit.

The procedure for ordering new cables with the process is largely the same as the old one – simply request Process Q when placing your order on the phone. If ordering online, you will be given the option to add it – the various ‘treatments’ are listed below the ‘Buy Now’ button on the product pages.

Previously, mains cables had a two-stage process – standard Super Burn-In and Super Burn-In Plus. Process Q takes the performance way beyond the old Super Burn-In Plus level and is a single stage treatment.


From this page you can order Process Q to be applied to the Russ Andrews and Kimber Kable you already own and that includes those previously Super Burned-In - they will benefit from Process Q.
If you’re cables have already been Super Burned-intreated, then we’ll automatically apply a £50 discount when your cable/s arrive to us but we recommend you phone us to order as this option is not available via the website.

Once you place your order, we’ll be in touch to organise getting your cables here for treatment. We’ll arrange a specific date slot so the time spent without your cables is minimised.
Alternatively, contact us by phone to place an order for Process Q and we will be able to advise you when to send your cables to us for processing and get them booked in. If you need us to arrange collection, we can do that too for a small additional charge.

Some ready-made cables need to be modified by us before they are processed – these include older SuperKords with the inline plugs, attenuated interconnects and those fitted with MiniZaps. We can advise on the cost of having this done at the time you place your order.


All cables have a tag attached after treatment to show they have been processed and recorded with a serial number that links the process to the cable.
