For a number of years, we have offered low voltage DC link cables which connect separate power supplies to components. We have now improved and simplified the range.

The new LvL cables are available in either pure copper or pure silver. This version is our copper cable and made with Kimber’s PBJ cable which is ideal for this low voltage application. The LvL cables are wired pin to pin so no need to worry whether you need Centre positive or Centre negative.

We have also sourced some excellent new DC plugs which are pure copper with gold plated contacts. They give a robust, positive connection and sound clear and clean. Available in 1.3mm, 1.7mm, 2.1mm and 2.5mm sizes. Bespoke options available, please call or email us with your requirements.


The new range of Low voltage Link (LvL) cables and are available in the following sizes.

1.3mm to 1.3mm
1.7mm to 1.7mm
2.1mm to 2.1mm
2.5mm to 2.5mm





The size refers to the diameter of the hole in the centre of the jack plug. Other configurations are available to special order.


The most common sizes are 1.3mm, 1.7mm, 2.1mm and 2.5mm, with 2.1mm being the most popular size found on equipment. Sizing refers to the diameter of the hole in the plug.

If you don’t know your size, you will need to measure the inside diameter of the plug. [WARNING: unplug the power supply from the mains before making any attempt at measurements.] This is a critical measurement and tolerances are extremely fine.

For example, the two most popular sizes 2.1mm and 2.5mm differ by just 0.4mm. A Vernier caliper is best for measurement or to guarantee the right size.



A ruler could be used, but remember the differences between the different plug sizes are very small so take great care when measuring. You are of course, more than welcome to send your cable to us and we'll measure it and return it immediately.
