Select series USB cables
For a while now, Kimber have run their AXIOS-brand USB cables alongside their Kimber Select USB cables. The new USB cables have taken both material and design cues from these older versions to create a range of cables that surpasses the performance and finish of the predecessors.
KS USB replace both the AXIOS and the older Select USB cables. As usual with Kimber’s interconnects, they come in three flavours to suit your system and your budget – the first in the range is copper, with hybrid (copper and silver) above that, and the all-silver top of- the-range model.
Standard Kimber USB cables
Kimber have developed two USB cables for their standard range, USB-Cu and USB-Ag.
USB-Cu uses large copper conductors - the largest possible under USB specifications, and the signal conductors are plated with an unusually thick (6.1%) silver plating to enhance conductivity and signal support.
Kimber's Ag USB cables take the performance of their original USB-Cu one step higher, by using pure silver conductors for the signal. In addition, the cables feature a crimped and soldered technique of attaching the custom-plugs to the cable, ensuring the best data transfer at this critical point.
