The Prodigy Primary RCM features a Threadless point suction system. Previous Keith Monks machines have used a thread between the suction nozzle and the record, whereas the new system is simpler, easier and more effective.
The Prodigy series is Keith Monks most silent machine yet. Featuring a SmoothFlow pump it’s quiet enough for you to play a record while cleaning another. Until you have experienced cleaning a pile of records, you will not realise how much difference this makes to the experience. Record cleaning with a noisy machine is hard work and tedious; record cleaning while playing and enjoying records is fun and rewarding.
What can I clean with the Prodigy Primary?
The Prodigy Plus is a multimedia cleaning machine. Not just restricted to records, we've had fantastic success with CDs and SACDs, and DVD and Blu-ray Discs too.

As you may imagine, I was eager to begin testing Prodigy against all my previous vinyl and digital cleaning systems and fluids on disc after disc. It wasn't much better... it was a whole world better! It is fast and simple in operation. About two and a half minutes per side on 12 inch vinyl and only about 30 seconds per CD! This speed enabled me to clean any disc before playing it during a normal music listening session. The speed is an issue when I quickly realised that I no longer wanted to listen to an uncleaned disc! I have several thousand LPs, only slightly fewer CDs and hundreds of DVDs and Blu-ray discs. I mention Blu-ray because that was the killer demo even after I got used to the music disc improvements.
The effect was a stunning improvement in video clarity, colour and definition. It is only a slight exaggeration to compare the change to that between the picture using my old but "best in class" Sony HD projector and the newer 4K Sony owned by a close friend. Undoubtedly his is better but I no longer lust after the 4K device because the gap is now acceptably small! I had never thought that Blu-ray discs were worth the cost difference over DVD, but not now.
Now I have the Prodigy I buy only Blu-ray… in fact I have started replacing favourite old DVD films with Blu-ray versions. It is like comparing 1980s CDs with recent 96KHz in 24 bit digital remastering. I have been replacing favourite CDs for some time already. The better the original, the bigger the improvement Prodigy brings.

Keith Monks Prodigy Primary has no buffer thread for the suction nozzle, which gives it an enhanced 360 degree fluid pickup capability - double the fluid pickup for even drier records and no thread to replace!
Bespoke cleaning tool
Each Prodigy Primary comes with unique Eco Roller microfibre washing wand. The perfect addition for optimizing the spread of fluid over the surface of the disc.
