GQ-24 Mini with Nickel Phonos
5 out of 5
Don't use an iPod? You need our GQ-24™ Mini interconnect?
Some of you who don’t use iPods have asked if we could make a version of our popular GQ-24 interconnect… with the 3.5mm jack on the end instead of the dock connector. The GQ-24™ Mini cable is the result!
GQ-24™ Mini uses Kimber’s 4-wire GyroQuadratic cable braid and high quality plugs – besides the 3.5mm jack at the player end of the cable, there’s a choice of Kimber UltraPlate phonos, nickel-plated 3.5mm mini jack or Nickel phono connectors at the equipment end.
If your phone or audio player has a 3.5mm headphone output, GQ-24™ Mini is an effective way to connect your portable player and share the music on it.
"The GQ-24 proffers an engaging musicality and clearly demonstrates a talent for carrying the best possible quality signal from whatever it’s connected to”

"Excellent Cable That Fights Well Above Its Weight"
I was using an Audioquest Evergreen cable at around £30 to connect my Fiio X5 player to my Little Dot valve desktop amp and my Chord CPM2600 main. The GQ-24 is a serious improvement with greater subtle detail coming through, allowing more subtle inflections in voicing and instrumentation. There is also an improvement in the weight, extension and precision at the low end and a slight but noticeable increase in the width and depth of the soundstage. All this musical goodness is delivered in a lovely dark background with no grain but allowing the slight warmth of the X5 to permeate through. In general these characteristics are much more noticeable when connected to my £5000 Chord amp, suggesting that this cable is happy to punch well above its weight. The GQ-24 is beautifully made and looks like it will last a lifetime. Given the price per metre I can see no downsides to this cable when used with good to high quality sources and amps. Highly recommended.
