Evolution-100 X-Block Link Cable IEC to W320e

Since the launch of the mark II versions of our X2, X4 and X6 Blocks, we’ve increased the range of link cables available. Link cables connect to the IEC output socket of the block and are used to daisy chain a second PowerBar or X-Block, or another component, or a mains conditioner such as our PowerPurier or AbZorber.


Use this cable to connect from the 10A outlet on our X-Block MK.II

Previously, these link cables had only been available made with our YellO Power cable, as the size of the male IEC plug used to connect to the output socket prohibited the use of the large-gauge earth used in the Evolution-100 PowerKords. To allow a better cable to be used, we have now made a special link cable, using the woven Evolution-100 PowerKord wire with a smaller-gauge, helically wound earth to fit the plug and deliver better performance.

• Evolution-100 uses eight separately-insulated Kimber Kable conductors, woven together to reduce Radio Frequency Interference.
• Progressing from the established 'earth down the centre' woven cable design used in earlier PowerKords, the Evolution-100 features a new, low induced noise earth arrangement where the earth is helically wound around the outside of the weave.
• It’s not just the earthing arrangement of the new PowerKords that has improved. Kimber have been working on the purity of the copper wire used in the PowerKords' braid; the new Evolution range features a higher purity copper than the older design.
• The Evolution-100 PowerKord™ is encapsulated in a Noise Reduction sleeving which uses a combination of two strand thicknesses to achieve flexibility and a soft, tactile feel to the cable.
• High performance mains plugs and IEC connectors are used to ensure a positive, low-resistance connection to your component.

Did you know? You can power a component directly from the 10A IEC output of the X-Block MK.II's using this cable and in many instances it can actually sound better.

Most Hi-Fi and Home Cinema components - such as your CD player or integrated amp - are fitted with a standard 10A IEC (kettle type) socket, along with our PowerBars™ and maisn filters/conditioners and the W320e standard IEC (pictured above, right) will fit perfectly.

On the other end we fit a robust Male IEC (pictured above, left)

IMPORTANT
Wattgate IEC connectors are designed to make a very tight connection to the pins of the IEC socket on your equipment or on our mains extensions - the better the connection, the better the performance. Consequently, they need to be pushed home very firmly. We strongly recommend watching our instructional video before fitting to ensure your Wattgate IEC is connected properly to the equipment.
