In 1979, Ray Kimber created his first speaker cables; 4PR and 8PR. These models quickly became very popular and were found in home systems and dealer showrooms around the world. His next speaker cable innovation came years later with the introduction of VariStrand™ conductors and with it the creation of 4VS and 8VS speaker cables.



Now these two models have come together to create the all-new Kimber PR loudspeaker cables, together with a nod to the original red and black colours of 70s PR.

4PR with VariStrand is available with pre-cut and stripped ends, Kimber 4mm Banana plugs or UltraPlate™ Spade connectors.



Kimber’s technique of using different diameter copper strands within each insulated conductor to ensure that the cable has an even frequency response and doesn’t favour any particular frequency.



Kimber speaker cable is available terminated with a variety of connectors and combinations (different connectors on either end) - if you don't see the combination you require, please get in touch and we'll look at setting it up for you to order.



Cut & Stripped, 4mm Banana and 8mm Spade options are available as standard. We can also fit our own, in-house BFA connector for use with Cyrus equipment for example.
