The Russ Andrews 13A SuperFuse™ is a replacement fuse designed to be used with power cables that need 13A mains plug fuses. They feature a specially-developed version of our legacy Super Burn In process. The SuperFuses are supplied with a DeoxIT Gold wipe for treatment just before fitting.

Why an audiophile mains fuse?
No matter how good a mains cable you use, electricity still has to pass through that small piece of fuse wire in the mains plug. Our solution was to develop a high-performance fuse that mitigates these negative effects as far as possible, and at a price that was more affordable (noting that audiophile fuses could cost anything up to around £200 each). To do this, we selected an existing, fine-sounding fuse that we were able to upgrade with our own unique knowledge and techniques to make it sound even better.

"Excellent Upgrade"
Wanted to buy the ultra fuses but kept backing out as £65 per fuse is a big investment when you require 10So I went for 5 super fuses to try half my equipment
1 in my purifier power block
1 in cd transport
1 in dac
1 in pre amp and the last one in power amp psu
Wow..... crisp clear treble... 3D holographic soundstage... yes I’m impressed didn’t expect that

Was contemplating a cable upgrade, if a simple fuse can improve the sound this much, then I will definitely be upgrading my cables. I did not think the sound from my system could keep getting better ,how wrong I was .I am now excited as to what can be achieved.

"Excellent Upgrade"
I have had Russ Andrews products for well over 20 years and have always been happy with the results. I could not however , believe a fuse could add any improvements whatsoever. OK, I was so very wrong. I added one to my yellow power block and Yamaha receiver on my TV system for starters. Better picture quality was immediate and very noticeable. So much better - honestly. Sound quality from the receiver is so very much smoother and more defined. I then put one fuse on each of my powercords feeding my CD and amp (NAIM) and my powerblock. I am smiling from ear to ear. What an improvement Which to me is hard to believe because I have only changed the fuses. I can only say to anyone who, like me, is sceptical - trust Russ - the improvement is well worth the outlay, honestly.

"Super Fuses -"
I have over the years thrilled with delight and surprise as I gradually added Powerkords, blocks, interconnects, zaps, Torlyte, feet etc to my system, not forgetting the absolutely essential Reveel and Relees.Nothing however prepared me for the effect that superfuses would have on my listening, nay, on my life! The effect is not unlike being present at a live performance, so palpable is the music. The only problem: after breakfast I rush to put on a disc and then find it extremely difficult to break free from my ring seat ……….

I fitted four Superfuses into my system having used Russ's regular fuses and also a couple of other aftermarket ones. The Superfuses give a much cleaner treble and a more solid image as a result - well worth it

"Do Not Hesitate - Purchase!"
I have put off purchasing these believing that a "fuse" could not make much difference. How wrong I was! Having just put several of these with different ratings into my system I cannot quite believe what I am hearing. As Russ often says, the timing seems better and I can follow the bass lines much better as well as hearing brushed cymbals that I had not really noticed before. All in all a brilliant product.

"Excellent Cost Effective Upgrade"
I bought a Panasonic TV in early 2015 to replace my 8 year old Pioneer plasma. I spent many, many hours calibrating the Panasonic, but was never satisfied. I couldn't use my Russ Andrews Classic mains cable because the Panasonic has a thin captive mains cable and I would have invalidated the 5 year guarantee if I'd cut it off and fitted an IEC socket. Then I tried one of Russ' Super Fuses in the Panasonic plug and was astounded at the improvement in picture quality. I've since fitted these fuses to all the mains cables in my system.

Review
I have had 12 of these 13amp fuses now, either I fitted myself or bought with new cables or returned to have Russ Andrew cable treatments. Two of these have been fitted to my backroom TV & Blu Ray recorder, superb!As was the remaining 2 I fitted to the Sony TV & Blue Ray player I donated to my cousin & she noticed the improvement in sound quality as well!
